The implementation of Basle II poses tremendous challenges to the banking industry. Risk Management presents solutions to the dilemma of valuing assets and liabilities and to their default potential - with legal, accounting, regulatory and economic consequences. Dr Jorge Guira Esq., BA, MA, JD, LLM, PhD

Dr. Jorge Guira is a London based US lawyer and financial services consultant. He is Lecturer in International Economic and Financial Law at Warwick University and Senior Fellow at the University of London. He has consulted internationally for a number of financial institutions and is a past Director of the IMF/World Bank Global Bank Insolvency Project (North and South America).

Dr Guira has trained bankers and lawyers across Africa, the Middle East, Europe and Asia, in addition to the Americas.
